This album is the first recording by multi-instrumentalist BMZ who also writes, produces and records in his own studio. Inspired by jazz musicians of the Blue Note era of the late 50's and early 60's, BMZ has a unique style of his own. Most of the recordings emphasize the atmosphere and environment of modality. More GROOVES than SONGS, this music is both meditative and entertaining. With a strong dislike of mainstream music and cliched stylistic devices, BMZ's compositions retain a "timeless" and not "dated" quality. The music is cerebral, and meditative with a searching feel. At least that's what he says.
